Computer Science Research at the DMIG (Digital Media Interest Group) Research Lab-IIITA is incredibly interdisciplinary. Here member students work together in areas of computer graphics, computer gaming, mobile gaming, geometric modeling, simulation, visualization, computer vision, human movement, motion capture, multimedia and human-computer interaction.
Since gaming companies increasingly demand programmers or leading engineers with an in-depth comprehension and a solid background in mathematics, physics, and 3D computer graphics, DMIG also aims to develop such intelligentsias to meet the future demand of these companies.
Interested students with ability to work hard & eager to learn new things may join any of the projects suggested on website or start a new project. It’s an interest group where professors, undergraduate students and post graduate students interact on a common platform and share their knowledge & experiences.
Under the guidance of the Chairperson of DMIG Lab- Associate Professor Dr. Anupam Agrawal, these students go on with their project. The DMIG lab is well equipped with the high performance computers configured with GPU’s to meet the challenges of heavy & complex graphical calculations.
